International Motor Show, in Dubai Abu Dhabi.
Although the UAE is in the heart of the oil-rich region, the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show presented the steps it is taking to become a leader in emissions-free transportation and reduce overall dependence on oil. When 14 vehicles were opened to the public on Tuesday, electricity, hydrogen and hybrid took center stage along with the Hypercars and large SUVs. Thanks to a range of initiatives, including the free use of public freight stations, free parking without emissions, generous tax incentives, interest and demand for alternative fuels is growing steadily in Dubai.
The region's first hydrogen station, in Abu Dhabi City, was recently completed, and since January the UAE has been working in partnership with Toyota with the aim of testing Mirai Fuel Cell cars on its roads
